The ENDING project has been selected to join the European School Education Platform

The project ENDING: To empower children in digital wellbeing and critical thinking, has been recognized by the European School Education Platform as an outstanding model for promoting digital well-being and critical thinking in education. This innovative project aimed to foster the positive use of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) and address the challenges of the digital environment among students and teachers.

ENDING tackled five key areas:

  1. ICT abuse, health, and well-being.
  2. Cyberbullying and online safety.
  3. ICT misuse.
  4. Disinformation and critical thinking.
  5. The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The program’s methodology is based on peer-learning, where students act as role models for their classmates. Through workshops, they identified challenges related to ICT use, proposed solutions, and defined tools to mitigate the risks of the digital environment.

ENDING also produced guides targeted at educators, families, and students, available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. These publications address the risks associated with ICT use, how to identify related problems, and strategies to overcome them.

The project’s impact is remarkable: over 250 students participated in workshops in Spain and Portugal, while multiplier events engaged more than 300 participants. This recognition by the European School Education Platform highlights the importance of initiatives like ENDING in building a safer and more informed educational community in the digital age.
